About CBA

Mission

To enhance the expertise of its members. CBA meets the needs of its members by providing a forum for compensation and benefits education, knowledge, information, training, fraternity, and personal development.

History

CBA was founded in 1986 based on the needs expressed by local compensation and benefits professionals.

The organization continues to expand and develop its membership. These members represent a wealth of experience from a wide variety of organizations and industries.  The Board of Directors encourages members to invite Benefits, Compensation and other Human Resources colleagues to come to an event.  Feel free to reference and print or forward our brochure (click here).

Purpose

  • Conduct substantive programs and special events which provide a forum for members to hear speakers and present innovative programs on current issues
  • Provide opportunities for technical specialists in compensation and benefits to exchange views, ideas, and information (as a member you have exclusive access to Discussion Forums on www.cbasd.org)
  • Allow opportunities for Continuing Education (CE) credit and professional certification
  • Provide opportunities for human resources generalists to meet and exchange information with each other as well as with compensation and benefits technical specialists
  • Interact with other professional associations to promote the human resource profession
  • Provide effective communication materials on topics of interest and Association activities
  • Provide exclusive benefits and discounted services to Association members

Programs/Special Events

Dinner meetings are typically held the fourth Wednesday of the month.  Four such dinners will be scheduled in 2017.  We intend to provide networking social opportunities this year also.

As a proud WorldatWork Local Network member, CBA of San Diego is able to offer local practitioners networking advantages along with educational and association fundraising opportunities.  Special discount pricing opportunities are available for WorldatWork hosted products (see offers).  Use PROMO CODE:  LNPROMO2017.
