HealthCare Reform and FSAs: Everything You Want to Know

The presentation will include how HealthCare Reform almost eliminated Flexible Spending Accounts. But with some intense lobbying from key players in the FSA industry (including Jody), they were able to keep FSAs from being eliminated. Jody will speak about how the process evolved and what it was like to be a lobbyist in Washington, DC during this critical time. She will talk about how she educated legislators on the importance of these plans and how FSAs help drive down the cost of healthcare.
As WageWorks’ Chief Compliance Officer, Jody navigates the maze of federal and state regulations. She is a liaison with key industry groups and governing bodies. Jody was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Creative Benefits, Inc., a successful Consumer Driven Healthcare (CDH) Benefits Administrator recently acquired by WageWorks, Inc.
Jody is President of the Special Interest Group for IIAS Standards (SIGIS) and chairs the List Review Working Group. She is on the board of directors for the Employers Council of Flexible Compensation and serves on the Technical Advisory Committee.
