Join us as we welcome Senior Deputy Labor Commissioner, Linda Aguilar, of the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement for a special presentation.By arming you with a thoughtful and strategic process surrounding local, domestic and even global issues such as consolidation of insurances, compliance, governance, wellness programs, and renewal management, this presentation will enable you to provide unique value to each layer of management, resonate with the CEO and positively affect the bottom line.
The DLSE is the state agency that enforces labor laws and wage orders. Commissioner Aguilar will provide important information about the California laws and how they impact you and your organization. In addition, she will focus on common wage and hour issues, including classifying employees as exempt vs. non-exempt.

Commissioner Aguilar will discuss the long-awaited California Supreme Court decision relating to employer responsibilities to provide meal and rest breaks in the case of Brinker Restaurant Corp. et al. v. San Diego Supreme Court.
About our speaker:
Linda Aguilar in her capacity as Senior Deputy Labor Commissioner at the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement manages the San Diego Wage Adjudication Unit which adjudicates wage claims on the behalf of workers who file claims for nonpayment of wages. She began her career of 21 years in labor law with State Compensation Insurance Fund, specializing in worker's compensation insurance and later transferred to the Labor Commissioner's office focusing on the enforcement of California's wage and hour labor laws. Commissioner Aguilar is a graduate from Loyola Marymount University.
